Brooklyn Beats from The Stuyvesants

The Stuyvesants Two young artists who reside in the Stuy wanted to pay homage to their home, the place that inspires their art. Producing a free album (take a listen via the above player, hit the link to their page to download) that harks back to soulful, lush samples and dusty, knocking drums they created something special for their neighborhood but also for the beat loving head who can't get enough Donuts. But really what they have created is a great beat tape that is in the ether for cats to do with what they would like.

Algorythm and D. Birks are The Stuyvesants. They make funky fresh beats for you to vibe with. They have designed one shirt for sale on their website and are totally open to people utilizing their musical creation free of charge only for credit. Not a bad deal. One film company decided to give the internets a Brooklyn history lesson neighborhood by neighborhood and include some of these beats as the background music. Organic art moving minds. I'm not gonna post all of the clips, you can find more if you would like but here are the guided tours of Bed Stuy and Fort Greene.
