ALMOST FAMOUS kicks off this Saturday 10/9

This Saturday October 9th is the big kickoff for our new weekly party at HG Lodge, ALMOST FAMOUS. We are planning on starting this new event with a large explosion of awesome, in the form of world famous dj and co-founder of the Invisibl Skratch Picklz, DJ Apollo. Joining him will be our Members Only brother in arms DJ Swervewon.

So in short, get your ass down there. No need to be afraid to go out on a Saturday night anymore. We're bringing it back to the basics and keeping it all about good music and good people.

MICK BOOGIE (!!!!)

So the first big announcement of the day comes in the form of world-famous DJ Mick Boogie. Members Only is teaming with HG Lodge and Steady to bring you the Brooklyn mixtape maestro on Saturday 8/21. If you are not hip to his musical stylings I suggest you start with the incredible summer mixtape he put together with DJ Jazzy Jeff. I will be opening alongside local legend DJ Soul One, and this promises to be one helluva party.

We hope to see all of your beautiful faces in the crowd!

Skratch Lounge

Here is a poster I made the other day for the homies the Groove Technicians (DJ Bamboo + DJ Spinja). I bought a book with 1,000 plus color swatches and that came in really handy when coming up with this design.

If you don't already know, this event is all about the dj and the art of the scratch. They host guests every month and have great scratch sessions featuring some of the best in the town. So if you're a top notch dj or a young buck looking to start tickling the v, come thru and see how it's done. Ya learn something new everyday, right?

I you are not hip to the eastcoast slaps of my dude Oddisee then hang your good for nothing head in shame. I am not even stretching the truth when I state that he might just be the best producer on the mic since Dilla, and in the top 3 of my favorite producers doing it right now. He is an absolute beast.

If you still don't believe me, run over to his Bandcamp page and stream his latest offering Travelling Man. 24 tracks, each named after the city it was produced in, each fitting the unique vibe of that locale. Pretty much the dopest instrumental project in recent memory.

If that wasn't enough for you, he is coming HERE with his group Diamond District. May 8th, 9th and 10th to rock some shows (yes I said SHOWS) and will be rocking with us at Jet Set as well.
